Excuse that random ranting post in the early hours of the morning, I did eventually get back to bed and get a few hours of sleep. I was still up before 8am though and am guilty of shopping online to cheer up my mood.
Nothing spectacular, some new clothes and shoes from Evans, including this and this which I think are just so cute! I also treated myself to the DVD boxset of Meryl Streep’s Holocaust which was only released here last week despite it being made in 1978! I also bought some Christmas presents online!
This morning I took myself off to the retail park for a little mooch around Boots and I bought the new Rasmus CD from HMV! I did some food shopping in M&S, it’s been ages since I bought some foodie items in there!
I have also got my first Christmas Present (and I should think the only one!) a new leather sofa in chocolate to replace my old one! Mum suggested a couple of weeks ago that she would buy me one for Christmas since the old was in a desperate need of being replaced. We went to DFS but I was not keen on her paying £600 for one. The current sofa I have cost about £800 and within 12 months with Alfie being still so young it got badly scratched! It lasted just over four years which is not so bad considering it’s had a lot of use! Anyhow I spotted one I really liked in Argos last week which just so happened to have £200 off the price, reduced from £599 to £399 with a 28 day delivery. We have been to order it this morning and it’s coming on Friday!!!! I’ve now got to call the council and arrange for them to take the old away next week it will have to stay in the garden until they can come! Mum’s pleased with the purchase since I’ve saved her about £200 getting this one, it’s really nice of her to get me one for Christmas but there was no way I was going to allow her to folk out almost £600, it was way to much!
I came back home and ordered a couple of new games for the DS, only I am not sure that was a good idea since my mum has had the bloody things for four weeks and I may have to fight for it back! I am seriously thinking of buying her one for Christmas, a nice Liverpool red one!
A bit of retail therapy always cheers me up… I’ll have to keep to a strict budget though for the next couple of weeks!
By the way the fish is called Per and he’s trying to escape from his bowl!
Hi Alison,
Firstly, I am glad to hear that you did go back to bed, and that you managed to grab a few hours of sleep in the end!
As for the shopping, I LOVE the t-shirts. VERY cute! I especially like *Mickey*.
And hey, I adore your new suite. It’s really, really nice. How lovely of your mum to buy it for you as an early Christmas pressie
I bet you can’t wait until it arrives!
As for the DS, I have been getting back into playing mine again, though I DO tend to stick to the one game, LOL.
Glad to hear that you sound a little brighter today. Long may it continue for you.
Catch up with you soon!
Hugs,
Lins x
